Kanu is conveniently located just 15 minutes from the town of Placencia and within the middle of the island range for added privacy from neighbouring islands and boat traffic. The island is surrounded by turquoise green waters perfect for snorkeling and close to numerous dive sites including an annual visit each year in the Months of March to June of the amazing and elusive Whale Shark.
EXPERIENCES ON KANU
Your Kanu experience will be anything but ordinary. Enjoy up to four complimentary massages daily for your group, discover the surrounding area with your own private boat captain, paddle around neighbouring islands with the provided kayaks and paddle boards. Numerous games and even a pool table are available on the island for your group to enjoy. Kanu has numerous beach areas and a large fresh water pool for swimming and relaxing.
Placencia Village is the hub of the Peninsula, where most of the local restaurants, bars, gift shops, banks, the main dock, grocery stores and other services are located. Placencia offers a special slow paced feel that is uniquely Belizean.
Belize is home to the longest barrier reef system in the Northern and Western Hemispheres, and its stunning central section lies right in our back yard. Snorkeling merely requires a few fin kicks from the beach outside your villa, or let your island host arrange a trip to nearby Gladden Spit and the Silk Cayes Marine Reserve for some of the best scuba diving in the world. From April through June, whale sharks congregate in this protected area, offering the rare chance to swim with these gentle giants, the largest fish in the sea. Outside of the marine preserve, spear fishing and deep-sea fishing are available.

The home has two beautiful private master suites located on the first floor as well as a large study with full bath that could also be used as a kids bedroom.
Spend a day hiking on the miles of diverse private trails along the stream, through the twenty acres of tropical flower gardens and the mountains on the property.
