patagonia camp

Patagonia camp was created with nature as its’ central theme, based on sustainable principles, protecting the planet and with respect to the native environment. The luxury yurts provide guests the opportunity to be surrounded by nature- to hear, see and smell nature in every direction.

Patagonia camp is committed to the local community, with most of its staff consisting of community members ready to share the history and customs of Patagonia. To further promote the local culture, most of the decorations, crafts and souvenirs have been created by local artisans.

Sustainability

A 100% natural organic water treatment plant has been installed by Patagonia Camp to turn all the water collected from surrounding rivers, lakes and lagoons into pure water. A worm-farmed composting initiative has helped transform organic waste into natural fertilizer that is used in the herb and vegetable gardens as well as helping to improve the drainage of the lands of Patagonia Camp and other local farmers. Patagonia Camp’s commitment is to continue to implement clean and efficient energy policies and utilization of eco-friendly resources wherever possible.

Yurts

What is a Yurt? Originating from Mongolian nomads, Yurts are lightly colored and circular in shape and designed to maximize both light and heat energy efficiently. Twenty fully equipped yurts are available with central heating, en-suite bathrooms, private terrace and laundry service. All of the Yurts have a circular dome in the center of the tent which was originally used by Mongolian nomads as a chimney where you can enjoy sleeping under the stars of Patagonia all from the comfort and warmth of your Yurt.

Food

Large windows that overlook the majestic Macizo de Paine are featured in Patagonia Camp’s restaurant where you can find salmon, southern hake, king crab and lamb along with fresh vegetables from the local gardens.
