Playa Chiquita is a small village 5 km south of Puerto Viejo de Limon. We are famous for having beautiful and serene beaches. You can stroll down the coast in either direction all the way to Puerto Viejo, Manzanillo, and beyond along unpopulated stretches of sand.
Rated the best (and prettiest) beach on this coast, Playa Chiquita’s public access path is a 3-minute walk from Casa Bella and a 4-minute walk from Casa Zorro. Immerse
Immerse in a tropical sanctuary. The gardens at Casa Bella have fruit trees, flowering bushes, palm trees, ylang-ylang, open spaces and shady zones. We often have howler monkeys and sloths swinging by in the surrounding jungle canopy, and if you look up you can catch a parrot or toucan party in our trees or see green macaws flapping by.
Casa Bella property is home to three separate dwellings to make your stay more comfortable.
Main House:
From the airy and bright living room/dining room with large custom wood windows you can slide open to enjoy the breeze and jungle sounds, you enter the spacious modern kitchen, with its full-sized fridge, stove/oven and double sink. The kitchen comes equipped with cookware and dishware.
On the main floor there are two bedrooms with A/C, queen-sized beds, private ensuite bathrooms with hot water showers, fans, and large wardrobes for storing clothing.
Go up the external spiral staircase from the pool-side deck to a breezy loft. At the top of the spiral stairs is a wide balcony where you can recline in a hammock or deck seating and take in the canopy view. Inside the loft screened door is an open living area with a queen-sized bed, 3 single beds, a safe, high-powered fan, closet, and three-piece bathroom. The loft is completely screened in with large windows that allow maximum airflow and maximum jungle views, and is very cool, especially at night. Wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys celebrating at sunrise.

Casita Bonita
Newly renovated! Casita Bonita (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) has a full kitchen on the deck and two suite-style bedrooms. Each beautifully and comfortably appointed room has a queen bed, a sitting area with a cozy love seat and chair, high-speed ceiling fans, dressers, shelving, wall sconces, custom mirrors, overhead lighting, a shared safe box, a 3 piece bathroom, and a beautiful view of the lush gardens (sleeps 4).
Casita Sol
Casita Sol is a one-bedroom, two-story, cozy home. The large second-floor bedroom has a queen bed, a single bed, cute custom lighting, a high-speed fan, a desk, shelving to store clothing, and large double-doors that open to a hammock-strung balcony. On the main floor is an enclosed kitchen, full bathroom, and an open-air sitting area with Adirondacks to lounge in and enjoy a little sloth-spotting (sleeps 3).
Next to Casita Sol, in a separate building, you will find the laundry room, with two washers, two dryers, and a large utility sink.

The house is on both municipal and well water systems. Water is abundant and clean. Large water dispensers are provided and can be refilled at the grocery store.
There is secure parking for up to 5 cars at the rear of the house.
Cleaning: Enhanced between stay cleaning protocols. Cleanings done by a professional cleaning company. Mid-stay cleanings provided for stays 6 days or over. Casa Bella and grounds are immaculately clean and well-maintained.
Privacy and Security: We only book to one group at a time and prepare rooms according to group size. The casitas will remain empty if your party is smaller doesn’t require those spaces, though you are still welcome to check them out! The property is fully fenced with a locking gate. Casa Bella is both safe and extremely comfortable.

Casa Zorro
This large Family home has lots of room and incredibly comfortable furnishings. From the kitchen you can watch the kids splashing in the pool or kicking a ball around out on the lawn! Relax at night with the doors closed cozied up in front of the TV, or out on one of the beautifully lit decks surrounded by jungle sounds.
The sun-soaked garden has a wide variety of plants and flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. The large open grassy space is perfect for a game of bocci or croquet (equipment provided).
The main floor deck boasts a beautifully tiled deck connected to the saltwater pool, with BBQ, custom lighting, ceiling fan, dining table, and plenty of comfortable seating. From there you enter the great room- a spacious kitchen/dining/living area with high ceilings, comfy couches, TV, custom lights, ceiling fans, a bathroom, and a large kitchen made for cooking! Down a wide hallway you’ll find 2 large, comfortable, bedrooms with queen beds, ceiling fans, shelving and dressers for clothes, and another bathroom. With a farmhouse sink, gas stove/oven, full-sized fridge, plenty of counter space, and a rack full of chef’s knives, you can prepare meals together. with fresh ingredients purchased at the 3 times weekly fruit and veggie market, or the Gourmet Supermarket, both just 3 minutes’ walk away.

Upstairs leads to a huge upper deck- There you’ll find additional seating, a wet bar, an expansive canopy view, and the master suite with a large beautifully fitted bathroom, washer/dryer, and plenty of shelving for luggage and clothes. From the upper deck with its almost 360-degree vistas you can watch toucans and macaws swoop and enjoy sunset cocktails as monkey troops pass by.

The owners have their own completely separate entrance and fully fenced garden in an attached apartment. There is soundproofing in the shared wall, and the property is designed to ensure privacy (both visual and auditory) for guests at Casa Zorro.
